Off to a good start…
Thanks to Chef Darryl Montana of The Fry Bread Lounge in Old Town Scottsdale for the amazing indigenous dishes and taking time to speak to our group.
The Logo
3/12/25
We’re proud to unveil the very first logo for EMPWR Arizona. Since our founding, we’ve been committed to empowering youth through Indigenous food education. Today, we mark a new chapter in that journey with a visual identity that reflects who we are, what we believe in, and the future we’re building together.
Our logo exemplifies our mission: a bold reshaping of diets to create a healthier future. Every element was chosen with care to represent our story and the communities we serve.
This is more than a logo. It’s a statement of purpose, pride, and possibility.
Thank you to Richelle Key for designing it.
The Fundraiser
April 5
Hosted by the Pitts Family, our fundraiser was a celebration of Native food, health, and heritage. We shared meals, stories, and raised over $20,000 to support the building of healthier food systems for our Indigenous communities. Thank you to everyone who donated, and a huge shout-out to the volunteers who helped facilitate the event. This is what reclaiming food systems looks like:
